8glabs, Inc. - “Sing The Hook” Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sing The Hook (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy (singthehook.com/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About Us

The App is owned and operated by 8glabs, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“8glabs,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

3. Eligibility

You must be 13 years or older (or the minimum age required by your country) to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose: recording yourself singing the provided chorus, generating a shareable karaoke video, and sharing it in accordance with these Terms.

5. User-Generated Content

• You may upload your photo and audio/video recordings only to create videos (created content) through the App.
• You must not alter, paraphrase, or deviate from the provided song lyrics in the App.
• You retain ownership of your uploads and created content but grant 8glabs a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and deliver your content solely for providing the App’s services and marketing purposes.

6. Copyright & Music Use

• All backing tracks, lyrics, and musical works in the App remain the property of their respective rights-holders.
• You receive no ownership or commercial rights to the music provided.
• Videos generated by the App are for personal, non-commercial sharing only (e.g., posting on social media).

7. Accounts & Subscriptions

If the App offers accounts or paid subscriptions, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Purchases, renewals, and cancellations are handled through Apple’s App Store and subject to Apple’s payment policies.

8. Prohibited Uses

• Reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute the App’s code or content.
• Upload other people’s photos, likenesses, or voices without consent.
• Circumvent any technical restrictions or misuse the App for harassment, spam, or illegal activities.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” 8glabs disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 8glabs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold 8glabs harmless from claims related to your uploads, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes (e.g., by email, in-app notice, or updated date above). Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
